We acknowledge Greatness

 

People have commonly referred to Northern Cass as a palace on the prairie.  However, our district consists of more than a beautiful building.  Our elementary school provides a content standard rich curriculum with emphasis on reading literacy, math, language arts, science, history, and fine arts.  Instructional practices focus on student-centered differentiated instruction to meet the learning needs of all students. Class sizes in the elementary school range from 18 to 20 students per teacher.  The atmosphere at Northern Cass Elementary is family oriented with major emphasis placed on parent involvement their child’s education.

 

Students in grades 7-8 experience a broad spectrum of semester-length survey courses that include foreign language, speech, art, family and consumer science, technology education, music, STEM math, and reading/art. 

 

Grades 9-12 students have curriculum opportunities in 50 different electives that include German, Spanish, advance math, science, AP English, college algebra, technology education, office education, and family consumer science.  

 

Students in grades 10-12 experience an innovative learning opportunity in our one-to-one iPad initiative.  All students have their personal iPads on a 24/7 basis that provides innovative learning with technology.  A wide variety of course offerings are also available via the school’s interactive television connection to area schools, universities, and vocational training centers.
